Resumo

O presente artigo vem tratar sobre a relação da escrita com as tecnologias digitais que surgem na contemporaneidade. Como se dá essa relação? Quais os efeitos ocasionados por essas novas formas de mediação contemporâneas? Veremos que, ao se apropriar do texto enquanto manifestação do signo, a tecnologia possibilita novas configurações artísticas e estéticas que condicionam a escrita a uma forma diferenciada de expressão. O objetivo, portanto, é definir o que está inserido no que se denomina suporte digital e suas consequências para as formas de comunicar até então conhecidas, tendo como objeto de análise as relações de escrita no ciberespaço. Tendo em vista o ciberespaço, no conceito de Pierre Levy (1999), como um “mundo virtual”, não palpável, que surge da interconexão mundial de computadores e converge em si os mais diversos meios de comunicação, veremos que a escrita aí se manifesta por meio de uma textualidade eletrônica, que se dá mediante códigos específicos e implica no desenvolvimento dos chamados gêneros textuais digitais, a exemplo dos weblogs. Nesses espaços, todas as trocas são simbólicas e o signo se apresenta em diversas semióticas. Mediada pelo ciberespaço, a comunicação é, assim, intermidiática, como no conceito de Lúcia Santaella (1996, p. 41), “a mais híbrida de todas as mídias”. Tentaremos, portanto, caracterizar a comunicação mediada por computador que se dá por meio dos e-gêneros do ciberespaço, identificando as novas características assumidas pela escrita no formato da textualidade eletrônica, a qual se organiza em torno da hipertextualidade, multilinearidade, multimidialidade e da interatividade. Tais temas aqui tratados interessarão particularmente ao entendimento de que, na era digital, tanto o acesso ao signo, quanto a sua disponibilização/circulação está mudando rapidamente.

Abstract

This article treats the relationship of writing with digital technologies that arise nowadays. How is this relationship? What are the effects caused by these new forms of contemporary mediation? We will see that, by appropriating the text as a manifestation of the sign, the technology enables new configurations that affect the esthetic and artistic writing to a different way of expression. The goal, therefore, is to define what is included in what is called digital media and its consequences for the ways to communicate until known, with the object of analysis the relationships of writing in cyberspace. In view of cyberspace, the concept of Pierre Levy (1999), as a "virtual world", not palpable, which arises from the global interconnection of computers and converges itself the most diverse media, we see that the writing here is manifested through an electronic textuality, which occurs through specific codes and requires the development of so-called digital textual genres, like the weblogs. In these spaces, all exchanges are symbolic and the sign appears in several semiotic. Mediated by cyberspace, communication is thus intermediatic, as the concept of Lucia Santaella (1996, p. 41), "the most hybrid of all media." We will try, therefore, to characterize the computer-mediated communication that occurs through e-genres of cyberspace, identifying new characteristics assumed by written in the format of electronic textuality, which is organized around the hypertextuality, multilinearity, multimidiality and interactivity. Such topics covered will interest particularly to the understanding that, in the digital age, both access to the sign, as its availability/movement is rapidly changing.
