Resumo

O presente artigo propõe-se debater a fotografia, inserida numa estética da reparação, como artefato de visibilidade de memórias esquecidas e não-oficiais no fotolivro “My brother’s war” (2010) da fotógrafa americana Jessica Hines. A partir das imagens e da reflexão da própria fotografia procurou-se entender a composição da narrativa mnemônica, na busca pelas representações da alteridade e da identidade da artista nas imagens. Esses apontamentos, portanto, alargam meditações futuras e questionamentos da fotografia enquanto lugar de construção da memória ficcional do produtor.

Abstract

This paper proposes to discuss the photography, inserted in a repair aesthetics as artifact visibility of forgotten and unofficial memories in "My Brother's War" (2010) of American photographer Jessica Hines. From the images and the reflection of the photograph itself, we tried to understand the composition of the mnemonic narrative, in search for the representations of the alterity and the identity of the artist in the images. These notes, therefore, extend future meditations and questioning about photography as a place of construction of the fictional memory of the producer.
