Resumo

Este trabalho busca cobrir a consolidação da Era PT, desde 2006 até o seu recente fim, em 2016, e acompanhar o discurso midiático e o da oposição nesse período. Entende-se a consolidação iniciada em 2006 com a reeleição de Lula, quando já não há transição e é possível compreender melhor a proposta de governo e de agenda do partido, assim como o fim em 2016 com o impeachment de Dilma Rousseff. O trabalho analisa principalmente dez manchetes da Folha de São Paulo ao longo do s anos e as disputas de segundo turno de 2006, 2010 e 2014, levando em consideração o que é exposto pelos dois partidos e dados que explicitem o avanço real do país nesses anos. Ao analisar as capas de três jornais impressos, o ponto de partida é uma data: 1ª de setembro, de 2006 a 2016. As escolhidas Folha de São Paulo, O Estado de São Paulo e a Revista Veja foram parte importante do discurso midiático envolvendo o Partido dos Trabalhadores nesse período, tecendo críticas ao seu modelo de governo. Em alguns momentos Lula é mostrado exercendo o cargo com êxito nas manchetes. A mudança evidencia uma flexibilidade na veiculação de algumas notícias, em especial as que se referem à economia, pela crise de 2008. O diálogo entre leitor e imprensa teve forte apelo durante o ano eleitoral de 2010. Os próximos anos seriam de intensas críticas ao petismo. Ao longo desses anos, o PT adotou políticas sociais e um modelo de governo no geral muito criticados pela oposição e pela grande imprensa, tanto na época em que o governo tinha força, quanto nos dias atuais, em que há uma forte narrativa para que os holofotes ao redor do partido que ocupou a presidência por quatro mandatos seguidos se apaguem.

Abstract

This work seeks to cover the consolidation of the PT Era, from 2006 until its recent end in 2016, and to follow the media and opposition discourse in that period. In this article, consolidation begins in 2006 with the re-election of Lula, when there is no transition and it is possible to better understand the proposal of the party's government. The end is in 2016 with the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff. The article analyzes mainly ten Folha de São Paulo headlines over the years and the second round disputes of 2006, 2010 and 2014, taking into account what is exposed by the two parties and data that explain the real progress of the country in those years. Analyzing the covers of three printed newspapers, the starting point is a date: September 1, 2006 to 2016. Folha de São Paulo, O Estado de São Paulo and Veja were an important part of the mediatic discourse involving the Partido dos Trabalhadores (Workers Party) during this period, criticizing its model of government. In some moments Lula is shown as successful in the headlines. The change shows a flexibility in the transmission of some news, especially those referring to the economy, by the crisis of 2008. The dialogue between the reader and the press had a strong appeal during the electoral year of 2010. The next years would be of intense party criticism. Over the years, PT has adopted social policies and a model of government that has been heavily criticized by the opposition and the mainstream press, both at a time when the government was strong, and in the present day. There is a strong narrative that the party that has held the presidency many years be erased.
