Resumo

Em Maceió, a rivalidade entre as torcidas organizadas dos dois maiores times da capital, CRB e CSA, produz efeitos que são um termômetro de tensões sociais e culturais contemporâneas e que fazem de Maceió a 2ª cidade mais violenta do Brasil, segundo dados do Conselho Cidadão para a Segurança Pública e Justiça Penal, uma ONG do México. O artigo analisa as diferentes manifestações da rivalidade entre as torcidas organizadas Comando Vermelho (CRB) e Mancha Azul (CSA) a partir da cobertura midiática em Alagoas. O objetivo é refletir sobre diferentes tipos de violência na disputa futebolística e analisar como esse fenômeno contribui na construção da identidade cultural local.

Abstract

In Maceió, the rivalry between the supporter's groups of the two major teams of the capital, CRB and CSA, produces effects that work as a thermometer of contemporaneous social and cultural tensions which make Maceió the second most violent brazilian city, according to the National Council of Public Security and Penal Justice, an ONG from Mexico. The article analises the different rivalry manifestations between the supporter's groups Comando Vermelho (CRB) and Mancha Azul (CSA) starting from the midiatic coverage in Alagoas. The objective is to reflect about the different types of violence on the football dispute and to analise how this phenomenon contributes with the construction of the local cultural identity.
